We are Mario Mangabat & Zenaida Salazar Mangabat from London, UK. We are fundraising for our Brother Cesar (Oscar) Salazar, 64 years old, retired, currently in the Philippines.
Oscar (Cesar) had sudden collapse last 0230 hrs. 06 June 2025 with BP70/40. He was rushed to Westlake Medical Centre A&E. Oscar (Cesar) went into cardiac arrest while in A&E but was revived after intubation / cardiac resuscitation / defibrillation.
Emergency Ambulance Transfer done to UniHealth Southwoods Hospital. Emergency Angiogram / Angioplasty successfully done - patient transferred to ICU for monitoring and further medical care.
After 2 days Oscar (Cesar) was extubated & supposedly recovering well - moved to a normal ward last 09 June 2025
Hurrah!!! A life has been saved by the Excellent Medical Care from Westlake Medical Centre Hospital & UniHealth SouthWoods Hospital !!!
Hospital bills have gone up to Phil. Pesos 777,735.19 in just 2 days. Oscar (Cesar) hospital bills are increasing daily.
Last 15 June 2025, total hospital bill including the doctor’s fees was PHP1,464,468.85. This excludes bills paid at Westlake Medical Centre Hospital.
After all the deposits / discounts – Senior Citizen, DSWD / PWD, PhilHealth, H.M.O, various donations – has total PHP998,496.63 deducted from his hospital bill. – remaining hospital bill amounted to PHP465,972.22 - and increasing as still buying prescribed medications & hospital supplies on cash basis.
Last 03 July 2025, Oscar (Cesar) was moved again to ICU - Bilateral Pneumonia + ?Sepsis complications. He also had blood transfusion as his haemoglobin was low.
His hospital account is currently closed until remaining hospital bills are settled.
Hence all drugs & hospital supplies are bought using either Cash or Credit Card payments.
Money resources are currently all exhausted - hence we need to ask for your generous donations to help fund buying existing prescriptions & hospital supplies to continue treatment for Oscar (Cesar) while still in ICU for the second time.
We would like to ask help for our Brother Oscar (Cesar) finance existing treament regimen and pay for his additional hospital bills. He is still buying medications on cash basis, getting daily charges for his hospital room, ICU stay since 03 July 2025 (2nd time) and expected to spend more on his prescribed medications in the future.
His existing hospital bill will massively increase as he is in ICU for the 2nd time.
