Oscar fue un hombre excepcional, optimista desde joven y dedicado tanto a su familia como a su vocación como agrónomo. Junto a su esposa, Silvia Nohemí Castañeda, compartió 35 años de matrimonio, construyendo una vida llena de amor, esfuerzo y sueños en común. Emigraron a los Estados Unidos con la esperanza de brindar una mejor calidad de vida a sus hijos, logrando ofrecerles una educación sólida: Oscar Cabrera Jr, en Rhode Island College, Rigo Cabrera en University of Rhode Island, y Ana Cabrera en Classical High School. Deja atrás una familia sin padre y esposo – persiguiendo los sueños que juntos buscaban. A través de este medio se solicita donaciones a su nombre, para cubrir gastos funerarios. With deep sorrow, the Cabrera Castañeda family shares the unexpected passing of Oscar Aníbal Cabrera on September 22, 2025. Oscar was a remarkable man—an eternal optimist, devoted to his family and to his work as an agronomist. He shared 35 years of marriage with his loving wife, Silvia Nohemí Castañeda, and together they built a life grounded in love, sacrifice, and shared dreams. The family immigrated to the United States in search of better opportunities for their children, successfully paving the way for their education: Oscar Cabrera Jr. is currently studying at Rhode Island College, Rigo Cabrera is pursuing his degree at the University of Rhode Island (URI), and Ana Cabrera is a student at Classical High School. Today, the family is left without a father and husband, while continuing to pursue the dreams they all worked toward together. Through this message, we kindly ask for donations in Oscar’s name to help cover funeral expenses.
