Osbornes Plight

I have a friend, his name is Osborne, he is 78 years old and a charming gentleman, for the last 2 months i have been involved in redesigning his apartment so he can manipulate around the place, he s going blind, for the last 2 weeks i and the other lovely 2 people who are actually putting in time and money ( thank you ) have been dreading he is slipping into dementia , about 4 days ago We were shocked at how fast the disease advanced and wound up hospitalizing Our Buddy because he was a danger of hurting his self " The Attending Good Dr. ran a "catscan" on Osborne , here in San Miguel, and is of the conclusion Oz does not have dementia, he has a non-malignant tumor the size of a lemon which is aborting rational thought and subjecting him to physical pain and robbing him of his mobility, it has been growing around 8 months now, and is still growing . We do not have enough money to cover the costs, Oz, like so many others here and there has no insurance. I am selling some of my vintage guitars, and other things , BUT,........here is my WTF moment.........My friend who is doing all she can contacted the Adult Children of Oz and they just  turned their backs on him, not only are they not coming here ( anyone i know would be here already ) but, they will not contribute any funds, they realize Oz will turn for the worst and yet have the vacancy of soul to allow this tragic unfolding . I have witnessed some bizarre acts, some desperate moves by people, unkindness and cold hearted actions of some very damaged folks, i and you have had our " spats " with family, but when the deal goes down We rally, we may not feel like it but WE DO.................these people are not. If you know Oz or if you know what i am writing about and are sick of injustice or just a Plain Ol Good Person with some extra cash let me know, the cost is arou nd 19,000 U.S. to give a Man a break and live for many more years with a smile......the Doctor tells me Oz is in Great Shape other than the Lemon sized tumor, and would regain his ability to walk this earth once again, AND not have to sit and wait for the final nail to be driven, sealing silence in a questioning mind,and have no alternative that to wait for the final expansion to irreversible damage ....But...if removed in a simple operation.....within days, to be able to listen and tell some corny jokes, and as long as ol men sit and talk about the weather i believe we are a wee bit safer in this World gone crazy.............and Please if you can help do so, and while your at it say a prayer for the children Osborne raised only to be abandoned by them ...........there is not much dance music coming their way........................Thank You for the Time and May Your Heart be Lifted to the Joy Available to those who whisper to Angels.....................J.K.
