Due to the ongoing pandemic, undocumented families’ wellbeing is at stake. Many are facing unemployment, loss, and ongoing health risks. We recognize that undocumented immigrants contribute greatly to our country in all aspects: economic, social, and cultural. However, they will not be receiving stimulus checks to support them throughout this crisis.
Many current resources for undocumented folk, as found on this spreadsheet( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18p9OSlLpSYanIoUC-gEbhVbRMYVUfw4wyrixa9ekGdc/edit#gid=0), are devastated or on pause. The purpose of this relief fund is to ease the strain of the pandemic on undocumented families by providing financial support that may be used for food, housing, and medication. If you know someone in a similar situation, we encourage you to fill out the application.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us at [email redacted]. Applications for undocumented folk will be available two weeks after the creation of this GoFundMe, to assure fund availability.
This fund was created by three college students at Pomona College, Olin College of Engineering, and University of Chicago. Advised by several professors, law groups, and diversity&inclusion coordinator Stephanie Milton.
