Oryana's Heart Valve and Aorta Replacement
Donation protected
She has the biggest heart ❤️ in the world, and it failed on her .
Three weeks ago, Oryana was a healthy 34 year old wife and mother of two boys (10 and 2). About two weeks ago, Oryana started complaining of chest and back pain. Intially she tried to shrug it off but the pain grew to be too intense. This landed her in the ER where she was sent home with Tylenol and told to rest.
Luckily, Oryana did not ignore the signs from her body. Her persistence forced the doctors to do blood work, CT scans, and chest X-rays.
Here's What The Doctors Found: Oryana was initially diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm. They saw that there was so much pressure in her aorta that it was leaking blood into her chest and even pumping blood back into her heart. On Monday, July the 4th, while everyone else was celebrating, Oryana was literally dying.
On Tuesday, July the 5th, she was transported to a hospital with a special cardiac unit. They immediately declared emergency surgery to save her life. She didn't even get a chance to see her kids or fully comprehend what was happening before they rushed her into surgery. Doctors and surgeons had no idea how bad her heart really was until they opened her up.
The Damage: Oryana didn't just have an aneurysm. Her aorta had ruptured. The ruptured aorta also caused a weak heart valve. Both were beyond repair and had to be replaced by surgeons. Oryana spent 9+ hours in surgery where she fought for her life. Surgeons stopped her heart which stopped the blood circulation through her body and worked until 1am to repair her heart. As we sat around and waited, doctors told us that people don't usually survive these types of heart failures. God had other plans.
The Outcome: Oryana made it through surgery!!!! Surgeons replaced her heart valve, her upper aorta, and her lower aorta. God is good! But she's still not fully healed. Oryana has another tear even further down on her aorta (possibly another surgery). We're taking things one day at a time but Oryana needs your help! Please help in any way that you can! She's fighting for her life and she still needs a lot of treatment, therapy, and prayer. Oryana WILL make it though but she has a very long recovery ahead of her.
This will be her testimony. It takes a village, let's show her that we got her back!
The goal is to pay for the pieces of her heart that were replaced, help her with therapy and recovery, her deductible, and help with personal expenses. We know that this amount won't even touch the debt but we're grateful for any help!
Thank you!!
