Ortey's vet bills

Hello everyone, my name is Luis and I'm the pet dad of Mr. Ortley, who the fundraiser is for. Ortley has been having trouble with his teeth for a good amount of time due to his FIV, the surgery to remove his teeth is quite expensive (our last estimate was about 1,800, we are waiting to hear back for our new estimate which will be higher) so we have been saving up for a while to get that done so that he is more comfortable. It recently got more uncomfortable for him so we've been trying to speed up the process as best as we can. We took him to have his Pre-anesthesia testing (blood work, X-ray, glucose levels and physical )and unfortunately the Doctor noticed a heart murmur, that along with the X-ray and Blood panels all point towards heart disease. The doctor suggested that we get an echocardiogram which is a specialized heart ultrasound, to better understand how they can treat him and to know what kind of precautions they need to take for his surgery. We are prepared to do this however the estimated cost of this is also expensive, at around 800-900 dollars.

Ortley is the kindest gentlest cat I know. Sometimes I think he's this ancient wizard that was turned into a cat. Ivy likes to play fight with him and he is always very soft and doesn't use claws. Gio likes to keep to himself but Ortley still tries and does sneak next to him all the time to cuddle with him and lick him. He likes to argue when his food is late, and has a strong need to sleep on top of me and try to knead me through the covers. He lets us bathe him and clean him and give him his insulin. He is a very sweet boy and we would like to make him happy. To be truthful this year has not been very good for me and my girlfriend financially so we have not been able to save up as much as we'd like for him, his Pre-anesthesia testing was $665.07 and we had to use our credit to be able to get that done for him, we are prepared to use it as well for his surgery but the complication with his heart requiring additional testing will be more than we can handle. That is why I am seeking support from you who are reading this. I know it is a lot of money, but anything at all would be incredibly helpful to us.

The funds will be used for his vet bills, if we manage to get over the goal everything will be used towards his surgery or any remaining amount.
