For the past year, my friend Vanessa was diagnosed with a fatty liver, which quickly escalated to cirrhosis of the liver. On February 9th, Vanessa was transferred to University Health in San Antonio for her transplant. Today, she had her liver transplant and is in ICU. Her husband, Fernando, is balancing being at the hospital in San Antonio with Vanessa and driving to Austin to be a father to their two children. Fernando has almost exhausted his FMLA hours, and as we all know, the bills are still coming. PLEASE help the Ortega family with what you can because anything would be greatly appreciated.
