Help Orrin overcome his fears
Tax deductible
Hi! Meet Orrin! Orrin is the sweetest boy but he finds many things in life overwhelming and scary.
He was adopted at 8 weeks old to be my best friend and to join me on a cross-country adventure. I fell in love with him the moment he first fell asleep on my lap. We have been inseparable since.
Orrin started showing signs of fear and anxiety right away. He was afraid to go on walks and would shake when I took him outside. We worked hard to build his confidence and now he loves going on walks.
Unfortunately, as he grew into adolescence he started developing bigger fears. Orrin has panic attacks every time he sees bikes, other dogs, large trucks, and sometimes even kids.
When Orrin is feeling confident he doesn’t hesitate to show love. He may be a 40lb Australian cattle dog mix and not a lap dog but he's determined to prove otherwise. If there's an open lap nearby he's in it. In addition to cuddling, Orrin loves to chase squirrels, master puzzles, play with his toys, and lounge in the sun.
We worked with several trainers to help him build confidence and handle his fears but nothing worked until we met Thommy at From Kennels to Homes. Thommy uses a specialized positive reinforcement training technique designed for dogs with Orrin’s type of anxiety. With your help and his guidance, Orrin can be the cute, calm, cuddly, sweet boy he is with anyone and everyone.
I am devastated to have to give Orrin up but I could never live with myself if I took him with me and couldn't protect him. Orrin's rehabilitation and transport costs are expensive which is why we need your help! Please, consider donating so he can learn to relax and find a better home than I can give him.
All donation funds will be used by X-Port Paws and From Kennels to Homes to ship, train, board, and house Orrin.
