Hello,

My name is Karla Soriano and   I recently had the opportunity to visit an all-girl orphanage during my visit to Peru called, "Mi Hogar" (My Home). I had the privilege to meet so many orphaned girls and young women who have made a great impact on my life.

This Christmas, I would like to be able to give back to those girls in need.  As I realized how much I will be spending on gifts this holiday season, I thought about those young girls I met and how they will not be spending the holiday with the ones they loved, let alone receiving gifts from their friends, family or colleagues.

I have been able to partner with Mi Hogar organization and with the money raised, they will be able to purchase necessities for all these young girls such as food, clothes, blankets, mattresses, pillows and toys for Christmas. 

The reason I felt compelled to raise money for Mi Horgar specifically, was because I recently found out that my two aunts lived at this exact orphanage growing up. I would love to be able to give back to the place where they once called home and to those currently living there. 

I know Christmas is around the corner and everyone is tight on money, but if you can just take a moment and make a donation (any amount is much appreciated!) would make a great impact to those in need.
