Orphans in Mexico need our help!
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Maureen. I'm an expat currently living in Mazatlán, Mexico. While searching for volunteer work I came across an orphanage that does not receive any government funding for food, shelter, or clothing for these children. The couple who run the orphanage rely solely on seeking donations from tourists and ex-pats in the busy plaza areas of Mazatlán. The hot, humid summer has arrived, and the plazas are virtually empty. The ex-pats, snowbirds and cruise ships will not be returning until the fall. The orphanage is in desperate need of receiving funds to continue caring for the children through the summer.
The orphanage has 12 children living there full-time. They generously open their doors to the very needy in neighborhood in which they live on Saturday and Sunday to offer the kids a meal and a Bible study. For many of the neighborhood children they will go hungry without these meals.
After meeting this beautiful couple who run this entire operation, I have realized they can't do alone. It's my mission to be sure these children have the basic needs they need to survive. I greatly appreciate any support you can provide to help feed these children though the summer.
