Orphanage go-to-school fundrasing
Donation protected

On March 30th, 2014, in the company of my two sons, Farid and Kian, I drove to the border of México from San Diego, CA to Tijuana Baja California Méx. During that trip, we visited one of the many orphanages that harbor abandoned, abused and orphaned children.
We were overwhelmed by the hospitality and loving care provided by the orphanage "Children of the Good Faith" ( Casa Hogar Niños de la Buena Fé). We listened to the children share their heartbreaking stories. During that visit, we began to appreciate the importance of helping these children both financially and emotionally.
For 5 years now, we have returned consistently for a few days bi-weekly, bringing food, clothes, shoes, arts and crafts and other supplies. Because the educational system in Mexico requires each child to wear a uniform and purchase their own books and supplies, many of these children can not afford to attend school. We have created this fundraiser to provide at least 40 children with uniforms, text books, and school supplies, at an an average cost of $45 dollars per child. Supporting education is the key for a better future for these children who lack family support.
With the help of locals in Mexico, like George Rojas, and a core team of helpers in Southern California, including Barbara Wenneker, Marjan Rogers, Soheila Alavi, Susan Moghaddam, and Mary Ines Flores, we have collected and distributed needed donations over the past few years.
Please know this is an immediate act of love to respond to the needs of the children. We are in the process of establishing a not-for-profit organization, which will enable future giving to be tax exempt. And please know that even the tiniest of donations ($10) stretches a long way.
We thank you for your generosity and well wishes. Look for future pictures and videos so you can see your giving in action.
