Just a few days ago, Orlando posted on Facebook: I can't wait to see all of my idols in heaven one day. My dad being the number one.


And now, less than a year after we lost our father, we've lost our little brother, Orlando Rivera.

We're shell shocked. 

He was a young 23 year old man, who like many at this age,  was figuring it all out.  He was working at a job he loved.  Had fallen in love. And was at the center of our mother's universe, as she was beginning the long and arduous road of mending her broken heart.


Most of us get to live and tell about the mistakes of our youth.  They are the stories that we pass on to others as cautionary tales.  Our brother's life, unfortunately, ended before it should have.

Undoubtedly, Orlando is now in heaven with his number one idol.

We are left here on earth, with stories about a young man, who we all loved so much, and whose star shone too brightly for the world to handle.  His light will now live on through our memories.

We are turning to you, to all those that knew and loved him, to help us with your thoughts and prayers.  And should you be able to help us with covering the costs of memorializing Orlando, we would be indebted to your kindness.
