Dear Friends,
Orlando and the Vargas family need continued prayers and, now, additional support. Orlando has continued to valiently fight his battle with pancreatic cancer for over 3 years. Through sickness, pain and a bleak prognosis, he has continued to impress everyone like never before with his courage, truly positive and optimistic attitude and ,amazingly, this tenacity continues to this very day. Needless to say, we all have renewed hope, love and admiration for Orlando.
He and the family are certainly very appreciative of the support, prayers, and visits over the past years.
Currently, he is now fighting dilligentlly for each and every day. If you haven't heard from him, please know he acknowledges each prayer, loving words and FB comments. His family has been at his bedside for several weeks now.
Many of you have asked if there is anything you could do or what support you could provide. An extensive long term battle with this type of cancer has emotional and logistical challenges, difficulties and expenses that many of us couldn't even begin to imagine. Right now, the most important thing for Orlando is to receive the continued love of his family at his bedside. I feel that the last thing on their mind should be to worry about how they can cover the costs of hotel expenses and escalating medical costs.
Thus, as loving friends of Orlando, we desired to start a separate GoFundMe to support him and the Vargas family during their continued battle.
In addition to his courage, one of the most amazing qualitites about Orlando is the way he loved and how he drew the love of so many to him. He has a wide spectrum of friends and love throughout Florida and Georgia . At this difficult time, I am personally asking those that know Orlando and the Vargas family to say continued prayers for his comfort, and, if possible, to make any donations as quickly as time allows. Any offering at all will be much appreciated.
