Orlando Cupic

Sadly, Orlando Cupic has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Orlando has spent the last ten weeks in the hospital receiving treatment.

His diagnosis is ‘Acute Myeloid Leukemia’. A very rare form of cancer/leukemia with a sudden onset that starts in the bone marrow. It requires long-term treatment. Since diagnosis, at the end of November 2022, Orlando has largely remained in the hospital due to significant immune suppression resulting from two consecutive rounds of chemotherapy and an ongoing need for platelet and blood transfusions.

His 3rd round of chemotherapy now commences prior to him undergoing a complete bone marrow/stem cell transplant within the next few months.

As one of our workmates, Orlando was a firm believer in mateship & solidarity. If you needed help, he was always willing to provide it. His belief in mateship and solidarity is fundamental to the guy he is and as such, we would like to return the favour by fundraising as much money as we can for Orlando and his family as he takes on this extremely important challenge.

All funds raised will go towards Orlando and his family to support them during these trying times as Orlando is unable to work due to his illness. Simpec will also support Orlando directly and indirectly by ensuring we can maximize exposure to this page.
