Orlaith's LDN Marathon 4 Cancer
Donation protected
Hi there friends and family!
I've secured a charity entry to the London Marathon 2017 on April 23rd with the Irish Cancer Society.
I am paying any and all costs associated with doing the actual marathon myself, so rest assured ALL of your donation will go to the charity.
Anyone who knows me pre-October 2013 might recall my marathon journey for Dublin marathon that year, again raising funds for a cancer charity - Ovarian cancer specifically in memory of my friend Marion McAneney.
So here I am again :) Hand out (virtually) to ask you to support my charity of choice in doing the valuable work that they do to support the many, the too many that we all know who have been afflicted with this awful disease.
The Irish Cancer Society use the donations they receive to "..... improve the lives of those affected by cancer... by funding life-saving, collaborative cancer research, providing up to date information about cancer, delivering a range of services to improve the lives of people living with cancer and their families... ".
You can read more about how they have invested €20m from 2010-2015 in research and support services here
Thanks in advance for your support and all prayers / salutations / meditations / wishes to the universe that I get around safely on the day, are gratefully welcomed!
Órlaith xx
