Meet Órla Shealy — a joyful, spirited, and fearless 2½-year-old little girl who lights up every room she enters. She’s the heart of her loving family: parents Úna and Eamonn, big sister Clodagh (4 years old), and brand-new baby sister Éireann, who arrived on April 2nd 2025.
Just days after welcoming their newest family member, the Shealys received news that no family should ever have to hear. Órla was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer; Pleuropulmonary Blastoma (PPB) Type 3. Tragically, it has already spread to multiple areas of her body, and while this cancer is considered incurable, her family are doing everything they can to fight it.
Órla is undergoing intensive chemotherapy and surgeries, showing the same bravery she displayed when she recently had a brain tumour removed. She’s a warrior in every sense of the word and when she’s not fighting like a superhero, she loves painting her own and Daddy’s nails, bringing joy and colour to even the toughest days.
Úna and Eamonn are juggling the unimaginable: caring for their very ill daughter, tending to a newborn, and supporting their oldest child, Clodagh, through this emotional time. The love in their home is strong, but so are the challenges they now face.
So many kind people have asked how they can help — and that’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe. It’s a place to share Órla’s story and offer a way for those who want to support this incredible family through the months ahead.
Órla has already shown us what true strength looks like. Let’s rally around her and her family with the love, hope, and help they so urgently need.
Thank you for your support — every donation, share, and kind message means the world.
As Órla is a minor her father Eamonn is listed above as beneficiary and all donations are for the care of Órla.
