This is Cassi, Orion's Mom.
Orion was hit by a car going to school a few blocks away on Friday morning. Thankfully he is ok, his only injury was his knee. But it is a severe laceration stopping millimeters from his ACL. We are very lucky and very blessed that he is here with us right now.
After being released from Phoenix Children's Hospital we have come to realize his needs at home. We tried to install a moveable shower head and realized we need a plumber to do what seemed like a simple task. I am a student taking 5 college courses towards the nursing program and can only work part time. The financial responsibility of his injury is overwhelming. We have had wonderful friends donate medical equipment but we still have so many hurdles. Not being able to change a simple shower head is one of them.
We have had an amazing outpouring of support from our friends and family, so I would like to respectfully ask our wonderful community for any support we can get. Orion is in a wheelchair and won't be able to do anything on his own for a while.
I am trying to give him the best care possible and anything anyone can help with will be extremely appreciated.
