The community that has taken care of me, accepted me, and kept me safe for over five years is now fighting for their lives. Outside of the Corona virus, Uganda's food prices have increased rapidly and preventative medical supplies are scarcer every day. The majority of our community here survives on less than $2 per day and has no savings to speak of. The country is now demanding all businesses that are not dealing in food to cease operations. This takes away any little income they may have had. I am launching a GoFundMe to supply one metric ton of beans, one metric ton of rice, 50 pounds of dried fruits, 100 bottles of hand sanitizer, and 200 N95 masks to our community at no cost to them. This is urgently needed to prevent further spread and alleviate those that are already running out of food.
