Orest Pitei was born on January 1 st , 1967 to a Pentecostal family in Chudei, Ukraine . He and his wife, Luda, have a family of five children and two grandchildren. Their family always showed love and hospitality to anyone that walked into their humble home.
Serving in the Pentecostal community from Chudei, Ukraine, Orest became an Ordained Minister in 2000. In 2005 he became temporary pastor of the local Pentecostal church and in 2010 he was elected as the senior pastor and as pastor over the entire Storijinets district.
A few years later, Orest began noticing changes in his physical health. At first, the symptoms were mild. He disregarded these symptoms assuming they were related to his frequently-high blood pressure, but his symptoms exacerbated quickly. Concerned about his intensifying symptoms, Orest paid a visit to the local hospital for a checkup. In September of 2016, Orest received unexpected news. He was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease to both of his kidneys.
Both of Orest’s kidneys failed recently. He is now undergoing blood transfusion twice a week and is in dire need of at least one kidney transplant. The cost for a kidney transplant is $85,000, but Orest does not have the financial means to cover such expenses. Due to his financial situation, the church alongside with his family and friends have decided to assist with the weekly dialysis payments, yet these payments are not sufficient.
Ionel Gherman and Serhii Herman, which currently live in the U.S.A, together with Orest’s family and friends from Ukraine, have decided to create a GoFundMe page to help raise money for the expensive kidney transplant procedure. They are doing their very best in helping Orest and his family as they step on this difficult road. The funds raised in this campaign will be used to pay for Kidney Transplant operations for Orest.
Once we reach our goal of this campaign, we will find the most efficient way to get the funds to Orest's family in Ukraine, be it by Western-Union or other means.
May the Lord Jesus Christ show his mercy and grace on all those who choose to help. May God Bless the giver!
