Oreo's Cancer Care

Donation protected

I know that I never asked for much and this is one of those rare circumstances I am admitting to needing help.

Oreo may have only come into my family when she was five years old, but since and now at 11 years old, she's been my precious fur child and a best friend for myself and my son.

Recently she was diagnosed with GI tract cancer and while not metastasized, which is a good thing, she will require daily medications, special nutrient-rich foods, and weekly check-ins with her vet. The initial testing and round of medications for the first two weeks already sees $449 on my credit card. She suffered sudden extreme weight loss and was lethargic which is why I brought her into the vet in the first place only to find out this devastating news. The positive side is, since the cancer isn't metastasized, she could still live a quality life for it's remainder if I can keep up with her care which I already know will stretch my budget as a single mom, thinner than it already is.

After losing Thor, my other cat, very suddenly in 2018 at the young age of 6 (almost to the day), I want nothing more than to have as much time with her as her body is willing to give. Any help that anyone can provide towards medication, the special food that she will need to eat, and whatever tests or check-ins that she may need, would be extremely helpful. This is never the news that anyone wants to hear when it's a member of their family and I want to be able to do everything that I can for her so that she can be with us as long as possible.
