Oren's Soccer Trip to Spain

Hi, my name is Chalice Wilson and I'm fundraising for my son, Oren Wilson. Oren has been offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad and play soccer this year, in Spain! This is not just a great opportunity, this would be a dream come true for him! Oren is a High Honors student in his senior year at East Hampton High School. He holds two jobs and plays premier league soccer for the U19 Vale boys soccer team. Oren was taking his first steps at age 1 when we put a soccer ball at his feet. He has learned, played and loved the "beautiful game" ever since. In early December 2022, Oren tried out for a club called Pathfinder FC, out of NY. Their "program is open to players from around the world looking for pathways to the next level of the game." One of these pathways is an opportunity to play in the Spanish Federation system in Spain. All their players are evaluated, but only a choice few are offered a contract to join the 1st team overseas. Oren was offered a spot on that team! He has always dreamed of this and has jumped at the chance, however, the cost of this dream is financially out of our reach. A ten-month trip to Spain is no small feat, with visa costs, travel costs, housing, schooling, insurance and living expenses all accounted for. Oren will be putting a deposit of $1,000 dollars down this month but must raise $20,000 by May 31st, 2023. To a 17-year-old kid, this seems impossible. Honestly, to us his parents, it seems impossible. But, I know with God, all things are possible. That is why I am asking and praying for help to make Oren's dream come true.
