Help Support A Wounded Artsakh War Veteran

Help Support Wounded Artsakh War Veteran with Home Renovations
The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church and the St. Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church of Oregon seek to raise $19,000 to help give wounded Artsakh war veteran Davit Hovhannisyan a new home through the Tufenkian Wounded Soldier Support Initiative.

Meet Davit
Davit Hovhannisyan, 33, was wounded in a drone attack outside of Shekher village in southern Martuni, with severe injuries to his legs and burns to various parts of his body. Despite many operations, one of his legs remains shorter than the other. He continues physical therapy to be able to regain full mobility. Davit lives with his parents, three brothers, and extended family. He is engaged to be wed in the near future.
Davit’s home is in desperate need of renovations and his future family will also need more space.
The Tufenkian Foundation has proposed to convert storage rooms next to Davit’s current home into a two-room house by adding running water, toilet facilities, new electrical wiring, windows, flooring, and other necessities. Renovation, which is expected to take 45 days from start to finish, will cost around $29,000. The Tufenkian Foundation has secured a matching grant of $10,000!

Will you help Davit and his family get a new home?

The Tufenkian Wounded Soldier Support Initiative
The Tufenkian Foundation has been actively supporting wounded soldiers and their families by providing accessible housing. Tufenkian has renovated the homes of 17 disabled veterans in the four years following the 2020 Artsakh War. Unfortunately, the war has increased the number of wounded soldiers manyfold. Tufenkian is working closely with Artsakh’s Ministry of Defense to identify veterans who are in need of immediate assistance regarding accessible housing

Give what you can to ensure our Artsakh hero gets the house he deserves!
