Nathanael’s Ordination to the Priesthood

“The priestly vocation is essentially a call to sanctity, in the form that derives from the Sacrament of Holy Orders.  Sanctity is intimacy with God; it is the imitation of Christ, poor, chaste and humble; it is unreserved love for souls and self-giving to their true good; it is love for the church which is holy and wants us to be holy, because such is the mission that Christ has entrusted to it.”  ~ Pope John Paul II

Lord willing, Nathanael will be ordained to the priesthood on June 20, 2020.
Catholics fully understand this vocation and all that it means.  To our Protestant family and friends who do not, I will compare this to both a graduation and a wedding: years of study and preparation to embark on a lifelong vocation, married to Christ and His Church to bear spiritual children for the kingdom of God.
In celebration of graduation and marriage we give gifts for the occasion.
As parents we are thrilled to be able to gift Nathanael with a chalice and ciborium.
Vestments are needed.  They are fitted, made and ordered well before ordination.  There are a few other needed items.
Most of these items are too expensive for individuals to buy, that is why we are setting up an account. 
All monetary gifts will go towards vestments and needed supplies in fulfilling the honored duties required of a priest.
I know Nathanael will want to thank you individually.  We will be faithful in giving him the names of all who gifted.  Much more valuable to him, and to us, are your prayers for him!
