Orchard for Dingo Dog Brewing

Dingo Dog Brewing Company, a 100% volunteer run, not-for-profit brewery and winery that uses its sales proceeds to fund grants for no-kill animal rescue organizations, has an amazing, once in a lifetime, opportunity to purchase 2.5 acres of pristine farmland right next to our current zero-waste brewing facility.
This land will be used to plant a fruit orchard of primarily native species like paw paws, muscadines, persimmons, native plum, blackberries, blueberries, etc. and will improve our ability to provide wines and beers crafted from the most local ingredients we can find. Our scale as a nano-brewery lets us explore small batch brews using more unique ingredients that are harder to source locally, or that require foraging in the wild. By planting these species with intention, we can put the saved time and energy into brewing more batches of our more unique offerings such as a paw paw cider, as well as classics such as our blueberry amber ale, blackberry cider, or our very popular fig and brandy barrel cider.
This will greatly benefit our ability to provide high quality, beer, wine, and cider in our taproom in Carrboro, NC and help us raise more money for our charitable cause Dingo Dog Charitable Trust, a 501c3 non profit foundation that provides grants to no kill animal shelters, spay and neuter clinics and rehabilitation and sanctuary efforts in the state of NC. The land will also provide us the opportunity to host events post-pandemic in a safe, outdoor environment, which will in turn help us raise more funding for North Carolina animal sanctuaries.
We know this time is difficult for everyone and has been especially difficult for us, as our taproom remains unopened during the current coronavirus pandemic, but this opportunity won't arise again and we have to move quickly to raise money for a down payment on the land within the next month.
