Orbital Fracture Surgery for Jennifer Blackwell

Jennifer was recently attacked at a local Tulsa fast-food establishment. The person hit Jennifer so hard it caused several fractures to her orbital bone. The surgeon is recommending surgery by Friday, December 3, 2021, so that the fractures do not heal incorrectly and that she will not suffer vision damage. The surgery can cost between $7,000 to $13,000 depending on how extensive the surgery will be to repair the fractures. If she has to wait due to lack of funds they will have to rebreak her fractures and she has the possibility of vision problems as well as facial disformity.

 

Jennifer is a self-employed, hard-working single mom raising three boys ages 4, 11, and 14. She does not have medical insurance for herself and will have to pay for this as a cash-only patient.

 

Jennifer was only trying to buy dinner for her family. She had been waiting in the store to order her one pizza when the cashier took a large order over the phone. The cashier told Jennifer they had a problem with her one-item order because of this large 10 pizza order. Jennifer said no problem and asked if it was possible to have her one pizza made prior to the 10 pizza order she had just taken. That is when the cashier yelled at her and reached over the counter and punched Jennifer. There was a police report filed and the cashier received a ticket.  Because the cashier did not know Jennifer it was only a ticket and not an arrest. This will probably not be the end of the incident legally but Jennifer's medical issue and her vision are of utmost importance at this time.
