Dear local friends and the broader Orange Grove/ Lilyfield community.

You may have heard that recently, one of our Orange Grove families lost all that they own in a devastating explosion in their apartment.

Our solo parent and her 4 girls are safe and well and living in temporary accommodation while repairs take place, but as resilient and amazing as she is they are going to need a little help to get back on their feet. Whilst she would prefer not to be named she has allowed us to step in to help coordinate a response on her family’s behalf. We’re confident that the beautiful Orange Grove community will rally around our own.

Her immediate needs are being supported so we are focused on the financial support that they will need in the medium-term. We have set up this page to seek cash donations to purchase furniture, homewares, and other items to re-establish themselves in their home once they are able to move back (anticipated to be early 2025).
