OBITUARY
Orain was vacationing in Jamaica with his newlywed wife, when he became an innocent witness to a brutal turf war. He was murdered on November 4th, 2019 in a senseless and cowardly act of violence with a shot on the back of his head.
In an instant, Orain was robbed of his ordinary dreams - to become a father and to work hard to support his family.
As a Canadian permanent resident and a Jamaican expatriate, Orain missed the idyllic ocean-side village of Broughton, Westmoreland, where he was raised by a tight-knit Christian family.
Sending money and barrels with food, clothes, books, and household supplies to his family back in Jamaica was not enough for Orain, as he yearned to embrace his mother, play with his nephew, and spend time with loyal friends.
In his last hour, Orain visited the town of Savanna La Mar, where he held his brother's newborn daughter and clothed her with gifts from abroad.

In his 33 years, Orain lived humbly, honestly, and peacefully.
He gave his heart of gold and unconditional love to his surviving wife (Maia), his mother (Mersade), his father (Isaac), his grandmother (Catherine), his sisters (Ashale and Sherie), his brothers (Ajani, Ricardo, Mickey, and Andrew), and his nieces and nephew (Aleisha, Aiden, Kaylee, Sophie, and a newborn baby girl).
Orain's many uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws in Jamaica, USA, Canada, and Bulgaria are also heartbroken from his tragic and untimely passing.

"If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain."
Emily Dickinson
