On March 5th, 2015 (Keegan's 3rd birthday) she was officially diagnosed with Pre B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
She first started getting sick around Christmas with low grade fevers and colds. She was also complaining about pain in her legs off and on. We made several trips to the doctor and emergency room. After a blood test in mid February we knew she had an issue with her hemoglobin. It looked like iron deficiency induced anemia so we tried an iron supplement for two weeks. She ended up getting sick again and couldn't walk. We were admitted to the hospital for a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration. Three days later we found out that our precious baby has cancer.
She has already started treatments and is doing great so far. We have a long road ahead of us. Her treatment will last 2 to 2.5 years.
We are overwhelmed by the love and support of our friends and family. Many people have asked how they can help and this is one way.
