S-O Ag/Environmental Science
The Sibley-Ocheyedan Ag/Environmental Science Department has a strong tradition of leadership development. School Board members realized the need for an expansion; however, school budget constraints would not allow for this growth. The students have begun a fundraising effort to hire a second instructor to teach the next generation of leaders. This instructor would enable middle school students to incorporate STEM-based classes into their curriculum. High school students will also benefit from expanded course offerings. These classes include: Natural Resources/Wildlife Management; Global Agriculture/Entrepreneurship; Plant Science, Horticulture, and Landscape Design; Meat & Dairy Science; as well as Large & Small Animal Science in addition to expanded leadership opportunities and community service projects. Recently students organized blood drives, food drives, and 5k glow runs to aid families in our communities.
All funds raised will be transerred to the Sibley-Ocheyedan Schools' Foundation, which has 501c3 status.
Thank you for your past support as well as your ongoing commitment to the future leaders of America.
