DUSM Josie Wells' Family Support
Donation protected

Deputy U.S. Marshal Josie Wells died from a gunshot wound received in the line of duty in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, March 10. Wells, 27, a native of Mississippi had been with the U.S. Marshals Service since January 2011. Wells was part of a team executing arrest warrants on a fugitive wanted for double homicide in Baton Rouge. The team engaged in gunfire with the fugitive and Wells was shot. He was immediately transported to Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, Louisiana, where he died.
Josie was an amazing husband, expectant father, son, brother, friend and coworker. He had the ability to light up a room as soon as he walked in, with the biggest smile on his face
Josie's wife, Channing Wells, is left to raise their expected son, Josie Wells, Jr., on her own. Nothing could ever replace Josie for anyone that knew him, especially for his family.
This GoFundMe account is to raise money to go directly to his wife and family in their time of grief. She will need all the support that she can get and we as a community can help.
Anything donated would be greatly appreciated and everything will go to them.
