Optimist Club of Elmira - Stolen Trailer Fund
Donation protected
About us:
We are the Optimist Club of Elmira and have been operating in Elmira since 1988. As a local service club, we are here to help our community but in particular we are ‘Friend of Youth’ and here to provide a helping hand to the youth of our community.
Our Optimist trailer was discovered missing on Feb 13Th 2021.
The Optimist trailer was used to store the majority of our equipment and also transport our stuff to where ever we are holding or helping an event.
During the times we are not using our trailer we where storing it at a storage lot on the corner of Howard and Union St. in Elmira Ontario.
This is a quite a blow to our club and as I mentioned earlier the trailer held the majority of our equipment that we utilize for our fund raising events and any events that we are participating in.
The trailer is probably worth at least 5000$ to replace with a used one if one was available.
The equipment we had stored included our tent, a gas grill, two propane tanks, coffee machine, tables, all off our signage and lots of miscellaneous cooking / serving / cleaning equipment.
We unfortunately where not insured.
Our club is devasted but we are still struggling on with the upcoming Maple Syrup Festival. We are gathering what we have left to try and raise some funds.
Thankyou for any help that you can provide.
