Opportunity to Help Mr. Wei (pronounced Way!)
Donation protected
One of our family members need your help! This time, it's someone you rarely see.
He goes about his way, quietly, dutifully... each and everyday.
But he keeps our school beautiful. He makes the floor shine. He takes out our trash and cardboard in twine.
He fixes what’s broken and reuses till done... because sustainability is part of who he is, it's part of where he's from.
He uses his own money to buy bulbs to plant, so come Flag Day, our garden is ready as we celebrate and chant.
I understand his quite love, his dedication, his gratefulness to serve. But now we have an opportunity to say... we love you back so much, Mr. Wei!

Our wonderful custodial cleaner, Mr. Wei is a dedicated member of the 34 family and has been taking care of us and our children for over 18 years. He is in dire need of some dental work and insurance doesn’t cover it. I only know this because I make it a part of my day, to ask how he is doing, check if he’s eaten, has he taken a break... and through our causal conversations, I discovered he has (and probably had for a while) a toothache and is in pain. When he shared with me how much it would cost... I really wanted to help, I want us to help.
In times of need, our community heeds.
Pitch in and offer whatever you can, I promise to translate words from our clan.
With gratitude,
~Tina Wong
