Help us to represent Australia at the World Championships.

Hi, we are a team of five students from Parkmore Primary School in Victoria, Australia.
We have developed a community problem-solving project to help educate our wider community about the importance on Native Bees.
Did you know, Australian Native Bees are not victims to the Varroa Mite! This means that our Native bees can help not only our Australian ecology but also over 1/3rd of our food production including avocado’s, macadamia nuts, even coffee. Native bees are super important!
Our project began in January 2024 this year, and since then, we have developed, designed and implemented a number of initiatives and actions that have included presenting our work to the State Environmental Minister gaining his support as well as Beechworth Honey, Bunnings, and our local city council.
We have even designed and developed a community Native Bee Safe Garden full of Bee Hotels, plants and a water source encouraging native bees as well as educating our community about their habitat and importance.
We have begun monitoring the native Bees in our garden and are proud to announce that we have the Native blue banded Bee and native Stingless Bee visiting our garden daily as well as the native honey bee.
In October last year because of our work, we qualified for the 2024 Australian National Championships and won the overall silver medal. Our project and work have now qualified our team for the world championships. These will be held at the University in Bloomington, Indianapolis in the USA in June 2025.
We are the only State school across all of Australia to qualify for the 2025 World Championships and really need your help to cover the costs of flights, entry fees and accommodation.
For the team to enter here is how we will use your amazing donations
$4000 team entry
$12,000 team flights
$4,000 team accomodation
Total $20,000
Please help us to achive our goal and represent our project, our school, all states schools and Australia at the world championships in 2025.
Thank you
