New York Times Summer Program

Hello everyone! I was recently accepted to the NYC Summer Academy at The School of The New York Times. My school newspaper captivated me all junior year and I've been selected to be the features editor for my senior year. This program would be perfect to help take me to the next level in journalism in preparation for college. I was so excited to go, but unfortunately financial aid was exhausted by the time my application was approved. I am trying to raise the money for the tuition fee myself. Any amount you would like to contribute would be extremely helpful and appreciated.
For backstory:
A year ago I was struggling to find an interest that I could grow and sink my teeth into. I couldn’t find a club or activity in my giant high school, and felt that I was just floating in space. But as I entered junior year, I needed something to give my last years in school meaning. One day a friend of mine said “hey wanna come try the newspaper?” Next thing I knew, I was pitching my first article idea to our editor in chief. I loved it and wrote articles all year, earning an opportunity as an editor next fall.
