Shaylee Grimm is an Avila Beach Junior Lifeguard who has a passion for running. In fact, her passion, drive, and determination led  to her placing 1st in her 14-16
year old age group, at the California State Regional Competition on July 27th, 2018.

When she crossed the finish-line, she, in addition to several observing families, realized that she was not only a contender on the state-wide running field, but she also had the potential to compete at the National level. The caveat, the National Junior Lifeguard Championships is being held August 8th, 2018... in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

In an effort to fuel her passion, and to afford her the opportunity to run in a National Championship event, we are turning to our community: A community that recognizes the importance of supporting our children's ambitions. A community that commends their children for their hard-work, and achievements. A community that believes in supporting youth and their efforts of seeing things all the way through.

For the sake of urgency and planning, we are seeking to offset as much of her family's $3000 cost, IN THE NEXT 5-days.
