Support Shannon Middleton

My dear friend, Shannon Middleton, is having cervical spine fusion surgery on April 1st, and I'm asking for your help. I wish I could say it was an April Fool's joke, but sadly it's not.

It isn't easy to ask for help, and maybe that is why she never has. She has always supported herself financially  despite the many medical trials she has faced. She made it through a breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent surgeries and treatments at just 34 years of age, as well as ankle surgery after badly injuring it, and several other surgeries, yet throught it all she never asked for financial help.

She will miss at least 4 weeks of work after the surgery, and due to missing work recently from being in terrible pain, she is out of paid time. Understandably, this is going to take a big toll on her finances.  I don't want her to have to worry about anything at all besides taking good care of herself. Despite working hard to shore up her savings,  in the last couple months she has had to have her heating system and refrigerator replaced to the tune of several thousand dollars. Unfortunately, that has depleted her savings, so this surgery comes at a very tricky time for her financially. 

If there is anyone that deserves a little help during a tough time, it is Shannon. She has a heart as big as Texas and a giving spirit unlike any other I've known. It is my prayer and hope that the kindness and generosity that she has shown through the years, both to people and animals, will come back to her ten-fold. Please, please consider donating to help her feel a little more security prior to her surgery so she can worry only about the business of getting better fast!
