Exciting news! I've been accepted to Oberlin's prestigious summer program, Oberlin in Italy , for July 2016. I have been cast in Suor Angelica, one of the mainstage operas, which is an opportunity usually reserved for post-graduate students, and I couldn't be more excited! I want to sing opera professionally, and this is a fantastic first step in starting my dream career.
However, Oberlin in Italy is pretty expensive - tuition and plane tickets together will cost me about $8000. Of that, I've already worked hard over the winter break to earn $2000 and I've been given $1500 in scholarships and work-study.
But I need your help to get all the way across the Atlantic...
