Operation Mason
Donation protected
Mason was born In September of 2011. It was quickly evident that Mason was not a 'normal' or 'healthy' baby. He spent the first few months of his life in the NICU, and is still in and out of the hospital frequently.
Mason has severe disabilities that means he requires 24-hour special care, and will for the rest of his life.
His mother is a single mother, trying to work to provide care for Mason, and his 5 year old sister Rylee. Mason's mother has had daycares turn her away and babysitters quit, because they simply cannot handle his needs. This means his mother misses a lot of work, and loses jobs frequently.
Part of Mason's brain did not grow properly as a fetus.
As a result, Mason is completely blind, and in a wheelchair. He has growth hormone deficiency, and does not produce stress hormones resulting in a compromised immune system, and is on a number of medications and visits childrens hospital often.
Mason suffers from:
blindness, mobility issues, diabetes insipidus, Adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, feeding problems, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, Behavior Disturbance, Language disorders (non-verbal), Severe Developmental Delays (aka: severe mental retardation), and the list goes on....
Our goal is to raise enough funds to provide him with a safe living environment, that is wheelchair accessible and hold his therapy equipment. He also needs a wheelchair accessible van, and help paying for the emergency injection his insurance will not cover.
Even if you cannot donate, please share! If this could go viral, and we could raise enough money to help this child and his family survive, we would be forever thankful!
