OPERATION WALKING WAGON 2020
This August Molly Appleton and Lucy Hollyer (Year 9 at Midhurst Rother College) will be attempting to walk the 100-mile length of the South Downs Way. Molly will also be doing the walk with her 6-year-old brother Jack and 10-year-old sister Daisy and mum Josie. They will be pushing and pulling a Walking Wagon (a large glorified wheelbarrow) containing all the camping equipment, food, water and general clobber that they need to keep them going for a week or two.
Molly last did the walk in 2014 when she was 7 years old and was accompanied by her mum, sister, baby brother and two Dutch friends who helped push all the kit. This time her mum will be the only adult so it will be hard work as the Downs are very hilly and very steep and the Walking Wagon is very heavy!
They are raising money for the NHS to show their support and appreciation for all that they do, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.
