OPERATION THANK YOU LUNCH ♥️

WHAT A YEAR!  In school, out, back in, and
more zooming than one could have ever
imagined.  

If there was ever a time to appreciate exactly what a teacher TRULY does—it’s now.  We
have seen it first hand, LIVED it.  I’m a mom of 
eleven, and I’ve never worked so hard in my 
entire life than homeschooling my kiddos this past year.  Anyone else?  

So, what do we even get our teachers as an
end-of -year gift right now?  No candle is big
enough. We can’t set up open bars in the lobby of each school, although a happy hour for
them is BEYOND well deserved!

So I prayed about it, and felt God place this on my heart—
involve ALL the families and some local 
businesses.  #doubleblessing!

The “struggle was real” for both during
quarantine—so why not create a
GOFUNDME?
We help give restaurants a boost with
some business, and they in turn, bless
EVERY teacher in DASD public schools,
with a beautiful lunch, 
FROM ALL OF US, on the last day
of school. ♥️

I reached out to our superintendent (so nice),
the 16 principals (seriously the sweetest),
and a few places we all dine at locally. 
Every single person was completely thrilled
to help celebrate these amazing teachers
of ours.  This was happening!!!!
So I calculated the numbers for all schools on 
June 10th-1331 teachers that day-
called Anthony’s Cucina Fresca,
Estrella and Primo, and made a plan of
insanity!  They rock!!!

If we as a community of parents, nanas and
pop-pops, residents, even non-residents,
could come together, I KNOW we could make this happen!  A heartfelt thank you to every
D-town teacher, in a year like no other.
One HUGE group hug from us all.  ♥️

As per GOFUNDME rules I need to disclose:
*I am a parent in our district and take full
responsibility for every dollar generously 
donated. 

*Donations will be transferred from this
account to my bank account, where I will pay 
the vendors via debit or check. 
I will also purchase cases of water for all the 
schools and pay fees for this site.

If we go beyond our goal (come on guys!) I will then donate those funds equally among all 
schools in DASD. ♥️
