I am raising funds to sponsor Baby Siro. Siro is a beautiful 6 month old baby boy that currently lives in Vietnam with his loving parents, grandparents & big brother who is only 3 years old. Siro is dying from an OPERABLE brain tumor. The family has exhausted all the possible medical care in Vietnam - there is no surgeon in their country that is skilled enough to operate on a such a tiny patient.

Baby Siro’s Aunt Angela is a local resident and nurse in Dallas. She fought hard to find a medical solution, even after the doctors in Vietnam told her family to give up on saving Siro’s life. Her friend and colleague Dr. David Sandberg Pediatric Neurosurgeon at the Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas, has followed the baby’s medical history closely and has determined that he is a candidate for surgery and that there is hope for removing the tumor saving Siro’s life!

Time is running out for Baby Siro. This surgery has to happen asap. The tumor is growing rapidly. Because this baby and his family are not US citizens, there is no financial help for him - no medical relief for his family whatsoever. The cost of the surgery without any additional surprise testing or emergency procedures is $97,370.44. The surgery must be paid for in full before the hospital will schedule the procedure. Medical visas are hard to get, but we are confident if we can prove his procedure is scheduled, immigration will likely grant his emergency medical visa. But we need to raise this money fast!

Angela’s entire family, including Angela herself, is selling everything they own including their own homes to scrape together the funds to give Siro a chance at life. She is working 6-7 days a week to save enough money to bring the family to Houston and help pay for every test and procedure. Angela and her family are very humble and private with their personal affairs, but they realize they cannot save Siro’s life without help.

I, Texas Kim, am asking you to donate to Operation #savebabysiro - to give a baby from a third world country, a chance at life - a chance he can only get through a surgery in the United States. I have a beautiful healthy 2 year old daughter, and I would hope that if anything happened with her health, that people would fight for her to live - to raise the money if that’s what we needed, to save her life. It’s my promise to you, to update you all with all the news - good or bad - and to also personally deliver the money to the hospital or the medical facility - to guarantee that the money goes directly towards medical costs and the family’s basic needs during this stressful time.
