On May 18th 2021, I rushed Rogue to the ER due to difficulty breathing, unstable locomotion, and lethargy. Prior to this her appetite had declined and she had lost nearly 10lbs. An x-ray confirmed the presence of over a liter of fluid in her chest cavity - which caused her shallow breathing - and an ultrasound discovered two tumors in her intestines, and a third in her colon. Further testing diagnosed her with lymphoma. We began a 23 week chemotherapy regimen on May 20th 2021. While the prognosis is uncertain, this treatment has the possibility to buy her a year or more of happy life.
If you've been lucky enough to have met and interacted with Rogue you already know that she is the sweetest, loving, and intelligent dog around. She means everything to me and I truly cannot imagine a world without her. She loves everyone she has met and isn't done making friends!
I'm creating this gofundme to ask for help toward her chemotherapy treatments. Her oncologist, Dr. Campbell at VSEC Levittown is fantastic and I truly believe her care is in the best hands possible. I was quoted a total of around $5,000 for the full 23 week course of treatment and while I hate to ask for help, I need to put my pride aside because she deserves all the help she can get.
Any contribution you can give would mean more to us than I can put into words. It will also give her the best chance at remission and a happy adventurous rest of her life. The world isn't ready to say goodbye to Rogue and she isn't done fighting either.
Thank you all so very much.
