Dead friends & friends of friends,

Like so many, I have had it handed to me in the last few years. I found myself reeling from an abusive relationship and navigating being a single mom seemingly overnight. Clearly, someone hijacked my life as I knew it! It’s been a long, dark, and twisty road.

Going into 2023, one of my children was struggling so much with mental health, she needed specialized care and my constant presence. Through this, I have been almost the sole provider for our children, handling the heavy lifting of daily life. As hard as I tried to keep all the balls in the air, eventually, the balls were all on the ground and more were being slung at me around every turn. Before I could catch my breath, I had gone through significant savings and back up plans A-H.

By June of 2023, we lost our home, car, phone, and most of our belongings. What I didn’t lose is my relentless tenacity, vision and grit. We have spent many months at a local shelter where I was assigned an advocate and got to work — because deep in my bones I knew that this is not how the story ends ;) I (we) currently have the very best team helping me/us go from here. I believe with vision, hard work and creativity, life will evolve to a much better place!
