Operation Play Under the Lights

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to you because I wanted to start a GoFundMe to help raise money for our little league organization in our small community of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.   On February 24th, there were really strong winds that caused a lot of damage throughout the town and the rest of the state.  The high winds blew over one of the baseball field lights, which landed on top of the concession stand at our baseball field, Doc Norcross. 


These lights have been around since the mid 80's.  Every generation since then, including myself, has played under these lights.   Unfortunately, just replacing the one field light pole will not be enough to fix the situation.  All the poles will have to be replaced to make it compliant for use, as the old system was grandfathered in.

The cost for replacing the old field lights with new ones, so kids can play baseball when the sun goes down is high, it's going to cost around $170,000. 

Baseball is a huge part of the culture in our community.  We would love to see our kids play under the lights, just as we did at their age.  Any help is greatly appreciated!  We will provide updates and post pictures of the new lights once installed!
