❤️ My Beloved Spanky Needs Your Help

On February 19th, I will be undergoing total knee replacement surgery. While I am focusing on a 6-week recovery, I'm facing a serious challenge: ensuring my wonderful dog, Spanky, gets the daily care and exercise he needs.

For those who know Spanky, he is a sweet, loving, and energetic dog. He is a rescue who brings immense joy to my life, and the photo with his cat friend shows just how gentle he is. Since I no longer have a fenced yard, Spanky relies on twice-daily walks to stay happy and healthy.

The Challenge and the Solution

When I first learned about the surgery, my incredible adoption group, Southern California Pit Bull Rescue (SCPB), offered to house Spanky. Unfortunately, their adoptions have recently been at a standstill, and they no longer have the space to take him in.

This is why I am now urgently relying on this fundraiser to secure his essential care. My recovery will prevent me from being able to walk him for the entire 6-week period.

I've been fortunate enough to connect with a trusted professional: a dog trainer who works at the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center. She has generously offered to walk Spanky twice a day, every day, ensuring he receives expert, consistent, and safe care.

This amazing support comes at a cost of $30 per day.

$30 × 42 days (6 weeks) = $1,260
