This lovely dog was wondering around our neighborhood for a few days before we took him in to foster. We do not know much about him and we’re pretty sure he was abandoned as he’s pretty well trained. He’s such a joyful and fun dog to be around. All around he’s a good boy. However, on several occasions he’s shown some pretty violent behaviors towards our female dog. Each time there has been a trigger, so it’s not out of nowhere but nonetheless, the behavior is concerning. My wife and I have grown a close bond to the dog and are actively trying to find ways to make him a permanent member of our household. However, we cannot fully commit until we are certain our other dog (and two cats!) are safe around him when we are not around. We have explored dog behaviorist options and found an experienced dog trainer (Torchlight K9) that has gotten some great reviews and is hyper focused on training aggression out of dogs. This is a sizable investment for us but feel it is worth to ensure we can keep him and feel our household is safe. Please help us make this good boy the goodest boy! We appreciate any support you provide.
