Operation: Help James Walter
Donation protected
Over the past couple of years, our nephew James W. Parker "Little James" has struggled with mental health. Specifically depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. His parents, James and Kami Parker have done everything in their power to help Little James through the struggles he has faced with medical and mental health professionals. Tragically, in October, 2019, Little James made multiple attempts to end his life. However, because of his vigilant parents and excellent care from local emergency response, his life was saved.
After his mom Kami, had the realization that her and James' love wasn't enough to save him, she sought guidance and help from another parent who had gone through a similar situation with their child. As a result, they were able to find a very reputable facility to help him overcome these deep and challenging struggles.
Currently, Little James is at Liahona Treatment Center in Virgin, Utah https://www.liahonaacademy.com/ where he is undergoing a massive life transformation and is demonstrating big progress. The high skill and expertise provided at this center is getting him on track to have a bright future with the tools he needs to overcome his challenges. As is with any specialized facility, the financial cost to have him there is high. We have started this fundraiser for the Parker family in order to relieve some of the financial burden as their insurance only covers approximately $1,000 per month of a $7,000 monthly bill. Little James entered Liahona in October, 2019 and is on a 12 month treatment plan.
The expense for Little James' treatment needs comes after a ski accident that his dad James sustained in the spring of 2019 spending several days in the hospital as well as a recent knee surgery for Kami. While the Parkers are very ambitious and are putting all of their resources towards helping Little James and providing for their 5 other children at home, they need your help to get through this difficult time.
We know that our fundraising goal is ambitious and with your donation, we can reach it! Any amount will help achieve this goal to relieve financial strain and help Little James stay on track to a bright future.
Thank you for any support you feel you can provide,
Kelli (Kami's sister)and Chauncy Johnson (brother-in-law)
