**UPDATE**
By the grace of God, Chad is getting a kidney!! Surgery is scheduled for Monday October 17. We haven’t pushed this as much but now that we officially have a date, it’s go time! We need all the support we can get! Let’s show out big for Chad!
All funds raised are for medical and travel expenses. Chad will have the cost of the surgery, post op and travel twice a week back and forth to duke. He will also have the cost for the anti rejection Medicines that he will be required to be on for the rest of his life and insurance does not fully cover.
I would also like to add this was all done without the vaccine! We beat the system! Chad’s fight has helped overturn 12 hospitals policies! This has helped 9 other people so far get kidney transplants!

The Fight and Journey of Chad Carswell!
Over the last 6 years, Chad has had 6 heart attacks, been septic over 50 times, and multiple surgeries on both legs that led to 5 amputations; which ultimately left two below the knee amputations.
Chad has been in Stage 4 Kidney failure for over 4 years and has been on dialysis for over a year & half. He has dialysis three times per week, four hour sessions each time.
He has survived Covid, twice and almost died throughout this journey. But he continued to fight and never gave up!
Chad has used his journey to motivate and inspire others all over to keep fighting and keep going; to never give up! He continues to live to the fullest, as possible. He works out 4-5 days per week; plays golf; and spends as much time with family and friends as he can!
Chad is not refusing to live, he is standing up for himself and everyone else on this journey! Chad is our family! He is the greatest friend and always puts others before himself! He has said many many times, this is not for him, he fights for others!
