Hello. My name is Donna. 4 years ago my wife and I took Levi on to save him from going to the dogs trust. Levi is a staffy who thinks he’s a tiny lap dog. He is the most loving happy soul.

Levi had spent the first part of his life unloved and uncared for when he was found wondering the streets and taken into the dogs trust.

Levi had one family before us but unfortunately circumstances changed and this family could no longer provide what he needed.

My wife and I are huge animal lovers and without a doubt knew Levi could not go into a shelter again. He doesn’t take kindly to other dogs, remember we don’t know what happened in his past.

We already had 2 dogs but decided to put things in place to prevent Levi and our 2 other boys from being together in the beginning. Giving all of them time and space to get to smell each other from afar. They could see each other but couldn’t get to each other. After 2 days we made the decision to let them together. Well, Levi turned into the biggest puppy and just wanted to play. He still doesn’t like other dogs. We feel he just needs time to make friends, and that’s ok.

With Levi being found the way he was none of us know his true age. He’s become a little grey over the last year and together with the vet we think he’s around 12 years old.

At the beginning of August we were out on one of our normal walking routes when Levi started to limp out of no where. We spent a few days trying to check his pads for a thorn or something else that could be causing this issue, nothing in site.

We got him into the vets, possible critical ligament damage. 4 X-rays and an anaesthetic later it’s confirmed. Levi does have insurance however it’s not enough to cover the operation he needs.

We’re just like you, times are hard and we need some help. We’re asking for you to help Levi get the operation he needs, however small all your help will be very much appreciated. We can’t see our cheeky loving boy in pain. Thank you for taking the time to read Levi’s story.
