Operation Feline Freedom Flight
Brenda and her military family have spent the past 3 years stationed in Dakar, Senegal. During their time there, they’ve had lots of interesting experiences including a big culture change. While they welcome all culture into their lives, something that was more difficult for them to experience was how domestic animals such as dogs and cats were treated there. Most of these animals live on the streets and struggle daily just to survive. But like most domestic animals, they still want love and affection.
While walking her kids to their school, Brenda and her children would often be approached by a number of cats and dogs and then finally one day, one of these kitties came to live with them and is named Cheesepuff! Brenda’s big heart would break daily seeing all the homeless animals, but there were a few times she had to intervene to help these poor little souls. She saw a cat struck by a vehicle and knew she had to help. This kitty had a broken pelvis that needed stabilization with pins. Brenda didn’t hesitate to get this kitty help and after her recovery, this kitty was re-homed to a loving individual.
Now, the most important part to why we need to raise these funds! Brenda discovered 4 tiny newborn abandoned kittens who were in very serious condition and knew they would perish if she didn’t act. She selflessly took these kittens in without hesitation to give them the best chance. Sadly, one did pass away, but knew what love and care was during its short time with this family. Now the remaining 3 kittens are thriving and Cheesepuff has become so smitten with them! It’s time for them to start their journey back to the United States, but this comes at significantly high costs to fly them all back. Brenda has purchased the necessary carriers and would love to get these babies back to the US. This family has provided dedication and service to our country without hesitation and this would be such an incredible way to help us thank them for that service. Please consider donating to help these kittens thrive in the United States!
